ROSÉ

In the heart of Stockbridge, close to the water where Gormley’s sculptures are kissed by the sun during springtime, a young woman named Dalia loved to stroll along and enjoy the sound of the water gushing down.

One day, she stumbled upon a glowing pink branch. Its hue was as striking as a rose in full bloom.

Dalia felt an inexplicable connection to it.

As she touched a whirl of shimmering light enveloped Dalia trapping her into the bough.

She was no longer Dalia, the fearful; she was a fluorescent branch living in a continuouss silent vigil, everyday she gets to see lovers holding hands, children skipping and playing, as well as weary commuters, who just like her, seek solace in the simple beauty of nature.

She does not judge or discriminate; it simply bears witness to the ever-changing panorama of the water.

A visual and literary exploration of the surreal landscapes and narratives that unfold in my subconscious mind. It pairs surreal illustrations with brief sentences that give context to the images, I use it as a way to document the bizarre sceneraios one creates while sleeping.
